WEEE Compliance

The waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) regulations came into force in January 2007 and encourage companies who produce or distribute electrical equipment to reduce the impact of the product on the environment. This is achieved by obliging companies to pay recycling and/or collection of the product at the end of its useful life based on their market share. The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK. Recycling reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill.

We are proud to be members of the WEEE Producer Compliance Scheme (registration number WEE/CA1696TV).

As part of this scheme we offer a free product take back service and will be responsible for the correct disposal of any products we take back. Should you require this service please contact us. Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol and be disposed of separately from normal household waste.
