The Advanced MxPro 4 series of control panels will no longer be available for sale from 2023 with the last date Advanced will accept an order being 1st December 2022. Since launching the current MxPro5 series of panels in 2010, these have become the default choice for most installers.
Why has the MxPro4 series been phased out?
The decision to stop making this panel is down to several factors, including the fact that alternative products with enhanced functionality are available within the Go and MxPro 5 ranges, and a number of panel components have become increasingly scarce. Advanced has chosen to invest the time and resource it would take to find alternative parts into developing new solutions instead.
Advanced Electronics Ltd
The MxPro 4 has been available alongside the MxPro5 since the latter launched. Manufacturing and supporting both systems comes with its obviously challenge, including a number of legacy components becoming increasingly scarce to source.
Furthermore from the 1st January 2023 UKCA will become a requirement for fire panels sold within the UK. Advanced have taken the decision to direct the significant amount of resources required to achieve this certification towards the development of their newer systems.

Replacing MxPro 4 panels
Importantly if your MxPro 4 system is fully functional there is no need to replace the panel for a current model. However should the requirement be to completely change an exiting MxPro 4 panel you will have the choice of either the Advanced Go or MxPro5 range.
The Advanced Go is ideal for smaller, single loop, non-networked systems whereas the MxPro 5 offers 1-8 loop panels which can be networked to create very large systems.
